Meet the Florist
Flora in the Wild began with a simple idea: to create flowers that feel connected to the seasons, the landscape, and the people receiving them.
After years of dreaming about a slower, more meaningful way of living and creating, I found myself returning to what I’d always loved most—working with flowers. What started as a small home studio has grown into a place where creativity, nature, and community come together.
Every bouquet is thoughtfully arranged by hand using flowers from my own garden whenever possible, alongside beautiful seasonal blooms from a small circle of local growers. Working this way means every week is a little different, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The changing seasons shape everything I create.
More than anything, I hope my flowers become part of everyday life. I love the idea of a bouquet sitting on a kitchen bench while dinner is cooking, welcoming someone home after a long day, or simply bringing a little softness to an ordinary Tuesday.
Living by the sea in Maketū has taught me to appreciate slower rhythms, changing tides, and the beauty in simple things. That quiet way of living finds its way into every bouquet I make.
Thank you for being here and supporting a small, local business. It truly means more than you know. I hope, wherever my flowers find you, they bring a little beauty, warmth, and wonder into your home.
