Flora in the Wild is a floral design studio in Paengaroa, Bay of Plenty founded in 2018 by floral designer Shirelle.
The Flora in the Wild studio is deeply connected to nature and the natural rhythms of life, drawing inspiration from the wild beauty of coastal landscapes and the whimsical charm of childhood memories spent on a farm. Driven by a passion for producing and sharing products that embody beauty, sustainability, and local craftsmanship. The Wildflower Diaries
My name is Shirelle; florist, writer, dreamer, hopeless romantic (to clarify this means that I romanticise all aspects of life), and nature lover. I am also a mama to 3 daughters; Bella, 9, Eden,12 and Ava, 14; whom I have been consciously co-parenting with my ex-husband for these past seven years.
This year I stepped away from the flowers to focus solely on my writing passion. This break provided a valuable opportunity for self-reflection and consolidation of the knowledge gained over the past few years and allowed me to reignite by creativity in a more organic and heart-led way. One of the ways I express my true self is through my florist business. It brings me immense joy and tranquility, as well as allowing me to foster meaningful connections with all of you. I also have the pleasure of collaborating with inspiring local women growers who share my vision and values, it is through these relationships that I am inspired to curate breathtaking organic, seasonal arrangements to share with you.
When it comes to backing fellow women in my community, my passion knows no bounds.
